A recording fee is the charge a county recorder collects to record a document into the public record.
In Idaho
Idaho sets recording fees by statute — for example, $15 for a deed and $45 for a deed of trust or mortgage of 30 pages or less (Idaho Code § 31-3205). Confirm current fees with the county recorder.
