A lis pendens is a pending lawsuit. A lis pendens notice is legal notice to the world that a lawsuit affecting the property is pending.

In Idaho

In Idaho, a lis pendens is recorded with the county recorder to warn that a lawsuit affecting the property is pending (recording under Idaho Code Title 55, Chapter 8).
